Felix takes a trip on a boat and ends up in the Netherlands! While there, he falls in love and tries to court a young lady, only to enrage the young man already after her. This cartoon contains lots of Dutch stereotypes (such as wooden shoes, windmills, etc.) as was common in many cartoons of the period. ''Little Miss Spider'' is a computer-animated short based on the best-selling book by artist and storyteller David Kirk. For Little Miss Spiders debut as an animated character, digital artists at Kleiser-Walczak pushed the limits of 3D tools as they transformed Kirks vibrant 2D oil paintings into a stylized 3D world. The result is a never-before-seen look in the field of computer graphics.Maya was used for character and scene modeling; animation and rendering. Composer and After Effects were...

The following concise, informative description was taken from http://en.wikipedia.org: Flip the Frog was Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's first sound cartoon. It is about a happy-go-lucky, needy frog, named Flip the Frog. This cartoon was created by Ub Iwerks in 1930. He had drawn a frog and his girlfriend in "Night'", one of the last Silly Symphonies short films he drew while working for Walt Disney. After leaving Disney, Ub Iwerks began the Flip cartoon series with the help of Pat Powers. The...

The soundtracks were often taken from existing children's records, licensed from the original labels. 104 cartoons, each about 6 minutes...

Cinderella, 1922. Tha Laugh O Gram Studios. Don't think international conglomerates with banks of computers making highly sophisticated and realistic animation. Instead, think of a couple of cartoonists, in this case, in Kansas City who get together and start to draw simple animations of fairy stories. The drawings are simple and fluid and really a lot of fun. These cartoons needed almost a thousand laboriously drawn pictures for each minute of film. The cartoonists were Ub Iderks and Walt...

Whereas Disney masked Mickey by making him a mouse, Harman and Ising made Bosko a genuine black boy. Keeping with the...

Jack and the beanstalk (1931). voice by Ann rothschild aka Little ann little. Betty gets top billing in Jack & the Beanstalk because she was the bigger star by the latter part of 1931, but second-billed Bimbo plays the title role & has the larger amount of screen time. Bimbo has reverted to the un-cute white-faced Bimbo in this one. Betty still has doggy ears.

Betty Boop in Boop Oop a Doop (1932). voice by Little Ann Little or either Margie Hines who knows they all sound alike, the typical Helen Kane impersonation. Betty's a circus headliner in Boop-oop-a-doop. Betty can be seen on horseback. Betty then star's as a liontamer & a highwire walker. Upon the highwire, Betty sings a jazz number, "Do Something, Boop-oop-a-doop," which had been a hit song for Helen Kane in 1929; Betty, of course, was based on flapper ragtime singer Helen Kane.

This is a story about a little bird who claims to be able to predict the future. Don’t trust him. The Little Bird of Disaster was developed at The Kitchen’s 2003 summer workshop. The speaking characters are real-time “video puppets,” controlled with Mark Coniglio’s Isadora software. The piece was actually performed, like they say, in front of a live studio audience (you can hear them in the background).
